Personalizing your Rosary

Rosary from Flower PetalsThe history of the Rosary is a beautiful journey. The Rosary brings peace to all of those who use it in prayer. It is a “Roman Catholic sacramental and Marian devotion to prayer and the commemoration of Jesus and events of his life.” The Rosary is a beautiful string of beads used to say and count a sequence of prayers.

Followed by the Apsotle’s Creed, the sequence of prayers to be repeated is The Lord’s Prayer, the Hail Mary (repeat10 times), the Glory be to the Father and the Fatima Prayer. Each prayer represents a decade and after each prayer, meditation of Mysteries of the Rosary follows, depicting Jesus Christ’s life.

On Easter, the Rosary is symbolic as the life of Christ is celebrated. A great way to give the Rosary more meaning is with our flower petal remembrance jewelry. At Isis Keepsakes, we make beautiful rosaries, from a rosary bracelet, string chaplet or string rosary, to use while praying.

This Easter, preserve your beautiful flowers and use the petals in a new flower petal Rosary. As each holiday or special occasion passes, you will have a beautiful reminder to aid you in prayer.

Creating a Memorable Wedding Anniversary

Each passing year, there are many special occasions that call for celebrations. Yearly holidays, the coming of a new year, birthdays and, of course, the anniversary of the best day of your life – your wedding anniversary. No matter how much time has passed since you first called one another “husband” and “wife”, the anniversary of the day that you gave your life to another person to share is a wonderful chance to revisit the reasons you fell in love in the first place; hence the wedding anniversary celebration.

After countless special dinners, romantic getaways and family parties, you may feel as though it is becoming exceedingly difficult to create that memorable anniversary. We’re here to tell you that it’s still possible! Creating a unique and special wedding anniversary, regardless of the number you’re on, is a fun and exciting endeavor. Take these few helpful ideas to get your gears going:

1.) It’s the thought that counts – Thoughtful gifts are, without a doubt, the best kind of gifts. Showing someone that you’ve really put thought and meaning behind your present to them means the world! Isis Keepsake’s flower petal jewelry is the perfect way to show someone you care. Buy your sweetheart a fantastic display of flowers this anniversary, then make the bouquet even more special by letting them know that it will be forever embedded within jewelry that can be worn forever. All the love and emotion expressed in those flowers will forever be held in a beautifully crafted piece of jewelry – nothing gets better or more thoughtful than that.

2.) Wedding-day time machine – Everyone loves a trip down memory lane. What better to spark a reminiscent evening than recreating a past event? Now, we know you can’t recreate your entire wedding, but just a portion of it will do. Do you recall what you had to eat that day? Perhaps you were drinking your favorite champagne. Whatever sparks your memories about the day. To make it more fun, throw on your wedding song and cook the meal together! A bonding experience with a nostalgic twist – sounds perfect to us.

3.) Think outside the box – Fine dining is always a treat, but it can get old. Take this chance to do something new together. Have you both always wanted to go skydiving? Do it. Now is the time to make new, unforgettable memories. Other fun experiences include hot air ballooning, scuba diving, flying a plane… get creative!

4.) Before “I do” – Before you said “I do”, even before you knew that you would spend the rest of your lives with one another, there was a first date. No matter how simple or insignificant it may seem now, this is the date that sparked a lifetime of dates with this one person you fell madly in love with! Recreate and relive your first date together. Watch the movie you saw, have a picnic at a local park (or indoors if it’s too cold). It will be a fun, silly way to feel that youthful excitement all over again.

No matter how you choose to celebrate your wedding anniversary, just being together is the most important factor. Being in the presence of the one person you love most in this world and allowing yourselves to get back to one another, reminisce and recognize why you first fell in love is the greatest gift you could give! Happy anniversary!

Sample of bracelet with different flower petal beads

There are many places you can have your flower petals made into jewelry or a rosary. You can search the internet to learn how flower petal jewelry is made and maybe make some for yourself.    However, there is only one place for you to get flower petal jewerly that is not made out of clay.

A few years ago, my older brother passed away.  I was beside myself with grief.   “Billy” was my big brother, my protector and a great person.  Everyone he knew loved him.  His personality was fun loving and his heart was solid gold.

I had heard about keepsake rosaries and jewelry that I could have made from Billy’s funeral flowers.  I searched the web and found quite a few companies out there .  I even ordered a bracelet from one of them.  It was beautiful but it was made of clay, a solid color and I couldn’t see the beautiful color of the flowers.  So here is where my journey began.  To make unique flower petal jewelry unlike any other available. I’ve been working on this process for over a year and a half.   Please visit my website WWW.Isiskeepsakes.com and then post a comment.  I would love to know what you think.

More to come…..
